Notes
Meet the Instructor:

Nadia Fairlamb
Art Instructor
Nadia, a working artist living in Hawaii. Her first memory of making art was of smearing herself with her god mothers oil paints as she worked on pieces on Fire Island, New York. Creating art since childhood Nadia began training formally in junior high and earned a BFA in sculptural ceramics and archaeology in Texas, where she fell in love with ceramics during digs in New Mexico, Texas, and Central America. Her current work features tropical woods from Hawaii, inspired by ancient cultural designs, and incorporates mirrors, glass, metallic foils, and other materials. Nadia’s art, which includes wall pieces and decorative surfaces, is showcased at major Hawaii events and sold locally and internationally. Her career was boosted by a 2019 Clark Hulings Fellowship, and she now serves as an instructor and consultant for the foundation.
