Certified Yoga Instructor
Junko’s yoga journey began in Tokyo in 2009. During her first class, she was impacted by the words of the instructor, who inspired her to focus on visualizing herself breathing through the postures. In doing so, she learned to be present and not force movement. It’s her belief that this process is more important than any external results yoga can yield. Under the guidance of excellent teachers, Junko has practiced many styles of yoga including Raja, Hatha, Power, Vinyasa, and Yin. When she moved to Hawaii in 2010, she began Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Bikram yoga. Since then, she’s completed both her RYT 200 and her RYT 300 certifications.
Beyond yoga, Junko enjoys other forms of exercise like Pilates, swimming, golfing, and taking walks. She believes that constant practice makes your mind stronger, and a stronger mind develops greater compassion for others. Junko welcomes you to come practice with her and sends peace to you and your loved ones until then.
