Ami Herzer

Certified Yoga Instructor

Ami is originally from Argentina, has lived in hawaii for over 22 years, and has been practicing yoga for over 17 years. Through studying yoga philosophy and asana, Ami’s learning, exploring, and feeling that yoga is not a performance, it's something to be lived. She’s discovering the more comfortable and at ease we feel physically, the more beautiful our thoughts become. Therefore our emotions and actions become even more beautiful. The more beauty we feel, the more beauty we find around us. Ami often refers to "the real beauty"...beauty we can only feel inside, not beauty we see.

Ami started her teaching journey in 2011 by completing a PIYO Teacher Training (Pilates & Yoga Fusion). Continuing her training, she completed a Yoga-Alliance-Registered 200-Hour Teacher Training  in 2014, focused heavily on Yoga Philosophy, Hatha Yoga and Subtle Anatomy of the Body. In an effort to deepen her understanding of the body, Ami completed a workshop on Subtle Anatomy of Body & Hands on Adjustments in 2015. In 2016 she became a certified Tabata Bootcamp Instructor, then completed Yoga Sculpt Teacher Training in 2017. In 2018 Ami completed her Advanced Yoga-Alliance-Registered 300-Hour Teacher Training, covering the deeper practices of Ashtanga  Asana , Sanskrit Language, Pranayama, Kriyas, Mantra, Mudras and Japa, as well as the study of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Most recently, in 2020 she completed a Yin Yoga Teacher Training that completely and absolutely nourished her life journey, helping her heal a back injury. Today, Ami is passionately teaching Yin Yoga.

Ami deeply believes in the quote by Mahatma Gandhi: \"Be the change you wish to see in the world.\" It inspires and encourages her to understand that to create a peaceful world, we must fill it with peaceful people. SHANTI OM & NAMASTE!
